This Viking full cuirass armour is a breastplate and backplate inspired by lamellar worn by the Vikings, protecting the front and back of the torso. Made from layers of 8 oz. and 12 oz. plates connected with durable 550 paracord, this armour is flexible and impressive in detail. This particular layering pattern makes the front and back a total of 4 layers thick. That's two 8 oz. layers and two 12 oz. layers for a combined thickness of 5/8" inch! Strong 12 oz. leather lines the armour around the edges to add comfort, while 6 adjustable 3/4" leather straps along the sides 2 large 1-1/4" buckle and billet straps on the shoulders attach the front to a leather leather backplate. Not only joined at the shoulders, the gorget attached to the front and back has adjustable buckles of its own providing a strong attachment between front and back.
